Levinson, Crow stage 'Diner'

Craig Levinson and Cheryl Crow have teamed around the stage musical based on Levinson's 1982 pic "Diner," while using tuner striving to land on Broadway in fall 2012. Levinson pens it with Crow aboard for your music and lyrics. Kathleen Marshall, helmer in the Roundabout's current hit revival of "Anything Goes," directs and choreographs. BASE Entertainment, introduced by co-topper Scott Zeiger and John Becker, produce the show, with permission to evolve the house granted by Warner Bros. Theater Endeavors. Occur Baltimore in 1959, story concentrates on a several secondary school pals, now twentysomethings, so reunite for just about any wedding. Written and directed by Levinson, the film starred Kevin Sausage, Ellen Barkin, Tim Daly, Steve Guttenberg, Mickey Rourke and Paul Resider.
