Jury Selection Resumes In Jackson Doctor Trial

FIRST PUBLISHED: September 23, 2011 3:02 PM EDT LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Jury selection has resumed in the involuntary manslaughter trial against Michael Jacksons personal physician. Bailiffs marched 98 prospective jurors into a downtown Los Angeles courtroom where in-person questioning of the group will be conducted. Fridays questioning comes two weeks after a pool of 145 people was created to possibly hear the case against Dr. Conrad Murray. Prosecutors and defense attorneys have been going through the groups responses to a 30-page questionnaire and dismissing people whose answers indicated certain biases. Lawyers will have limited time to question the prospective jurors. Murray has pleaded not guilty. Authorities contend he gave the singer a lethal dose of the anesthetic propofol in the bedroom of the singers rented mansion on June 25, 2009. Opening statements are scheduled to begin Tuesday.
